This was my fic for hd_erised, and it was the most invigorating, fun writing experience I've had in a long time. That plus the quality of every other erised fic made this fest such a delight! I've been thrilled beyond measure that other people seem to have enjoyed reading it half as much as I enjoyed writing it. My unending thanks to everyone who commented, messaged, recced and discussed. You've all really made my holiday season, and on into January, and I can't thank you enough.

Particular thanks go to disapparater for being a patient, patient beta who handled every panicked 2am inquiry with thoughtfulness and aplomb. Also to firethesound and sophie_french for excitement, encouragement, and suggestions at all the right moments, and for thinking this madness was a good iea worth doing, and to everyone in the hd_writers comm, especially the chatzy room, for encouragement and Strict Discipling. To the hd_erised mods for being patient and kind and for running such a phenomenal fest. And, of course, always, to birdsofshore, for a "content I would love" list that sent my imagination running wild, for comments that left me with the biggest, goofiest grins - for generally being the best giftee a person could ask for.
