SO excited for this fest! (and to be modding it!) Because, just think of how talented the creators are in this fandom. And then think about what would happen if those powers were combined. Like fandom planeteers!
In any combination! Writer-writer teams, artist-artist teams, podficcer-podficcer teams, writer-artist/writer-podficcer/artist-podficcer teams. Or threesomes! You can have threesomes.
Don't have a partner? We'll match you with one! We've got a very nifty form prepared for sign ups that will ask you all sorts of things about the kinds of work you like to make, how your process usually goes, how you envision a collaboration working, and what your favorite things are about the H/D pairing. The goal is to find partners who will have similar vision and work well together once the collaboration is under way.
And the theme! (Which I may be unreasonably excited about?) Hogwarts subjects! Your team picks one, and then you run with it. Want to sign up for Defence Against the Dark Arts? Could be that Hary and Draco are partnered together in the class, or that one of them is teaching it, or that they're Auror partners defending against the dark arts, or sworn nemeses on opposite sides of the war, or sworn nemeses after one of them becomes a new dark lord, or political adversaries (or Wizengamot co-sponsors) debating the classification of magic as dark, or spell creators who have created a new defensive/offensive spell, or, or, or...the possibilities are really endless.

We're all hoping you will join us! Every time we stop to imagine the kinds of works that you all could produce together it's...exciting is a bit of an understatement!

(I still have school anxiety about "group project" things which makes me scared of working w other people. Because I always ended up the one doing everything, I never learned to work w others really coupled w my slow writing and icky schedule, I don't want to be *that guy* to anyone else.)

The tl;dr is that I don't think you need to worry about being that guy. The slightly longer version is that there are reasons why, promise.

I find this very exciting and nerve-racking in equal measure - me too! The mere idea of collaboration strikes me as nerve-wracking at times, but then, when I think about it, it's something we almost all already do in bits and pieces - consulting with alphas and betas, asking flisters for their thoughts on how different things play out, talking nascent ideas through with other creators. This is a bit, for lack of a better word, more than that, but the community as a whole is already pretty collaborative in a lot of ways, really. And the idea of seeing how someone else works, and what happens when people work together, is pretty firmly in the excitement column for me. So excitement is winning out! (Just hoping it will be for plenty of other people as well.)
