it's worth mentioning that when you tag original content, only the first five tags show up in the search/tumblr wide tag! so if you feel like rambling a bit in the tags and then tack on the content tags at the end, like so: #this took me hours omg #can you tell i spent ages on his hair #draco's little nose ahhhh #yes their robes are colour coordinated shoot me # help #drarrytrash #drarry #fanart #harryxdraco (this is entirely made up on the spot)
then your post won't show up in the search or the tumblr wide tag, because the content tags aren't at the beginning. so you'll want to put your content tags first, and THEN ramble. if you're just tagging stuff for reblogging, then it doesn't matter - the content tags will still work on your own blog.

i'm not sure if you're going to cover that in future posts or not, but i thought i'd mention it just to be safe. :) i see frighteningly many fanartists (and others) do this and then wonder why they're not getting any notes...
